Greetings!

We are proud to offer our home to college or university students seeking homestay accommodations in the North Burnaby area. Our home is warm and welcoming and is situated close to many amenities with easy access to public transportation. Kensington Shopping Plaza, Kensington Park, Kensington Outdoor Pool and Burnaby North Secondary School are a short waking distance away. Downtown Vancouver, SFU, Burnaby Mountain, Brentwood Mall and Sperling Skytrain station are easily accessible by bus.

We have two rooms in our homestay, each suitable for one person. Both are roomy and bright, with plenty of privacy for reading, studying and quiet time. They are both located on the main level and are adjacent to a shared washroom. Each room contains a double bed, a desk with a chair and lamp, a bookshelf, a chest of drawers and a closet or wardrobe.

The washroom contains a shower, sink and toilet, and is located directly adjacent to the rooms. The small kitchen is equipped with a refrigerator to store personal food items, a microwave oven, toaster, hotplate, kettle and blender for preparing and heating meals and snacks. There is a shared entertainment room which has a television, a piano and a game console. Heat, hot water, electricity, internet and the use of the washer and dryer is included in the cost.

Our family is multilingual, speaking English, Spanish and French, and we are interested in learning about other countries and cultures. We enjoy the outdoors, hiking, soccer, volleyball, dance, art, movies and meeting new people. We have a busy schedule, with many activities and interests and we try to make the most of our time together.

We are looking for a quiet, non-smoking female college or university students, or young working person, who is friendly and approachable, while at the same time mature, confident and independent; someone who will keep their own room clean and tidy, who will share in cleaning the shared bathroom and kitchen area, and who will treat our home, family and other guest with respect and consideration. We are fun-loving and outgoing and would like to host guests and students who are likewise. Our homestay rooms are designed so that whether you prefer privacy or company, you may have either when you want or need it.
