WELCOME TO HAPPYHOME HOMESTAY.
We are located six minutes walking distance to Braid Skytrain station and two minutes from bus stop. You will have fast access to Douglas College, Alexander College, FIC, SFU, Kwantlan, and downtown Vancouver (Waterfront Skytrain Station).
My husband and I are a very quiet and friendly semi-retired Christian couple. English is the only language we speak but we respect other people's language, religion, and culture. We live in a big spacious house on a safe and quiet street. Our bedrooms are well furnished and spacious with large windows and queen size beds.
My hobby is cooking. I prepare a variety of different Canadian and other ethnic dishes and serve healthy and filling portions.
Our house rules are very relaxed. Students are treated as adults. Students can come and go as they please. Overall we have a happy and comfortable home that is conducive to learning. However, no drugs, no smoking, and no alcohol allowed in the home.
We look forward to welcoming you into our home so you can pursue your educational goals.
Walking distance from our homestay to the nearest bus stop is two minutes.
The bus takes two minutes from bus stop to reach Braid skytrain station.
Or, you can walk from home directly to Braid skytrain station in about 6 minutes. It is a very safe walk.
It takes a total of 10 minutes to get to Douglas College.
It takes a total of 20 minutes to reach SFU and FIC.
It takes about 15 minutes to Metro Town Mall (the largest mall in Canada). Alexander College is next door to Metro Town Mall.
It takes about 25 minutes to reach Waterfront station in downtown Vancouver and another five minutes walking from Waterfront station to most schools downtown.
A Skytrain to downtown arrives at Braid Station every five minutes. One train from Braid Station gets you to downtown Vancouver. The train ride to Vancouver is quick and quiet. The scenery along the way is beautiful.
We are near to Urban Academy, New Westminster Secondary, Burnaby Mountain Secondary, Douglas College, Alexander College, Coquitlam College, SFU, FIC, Emily Carr, Vancouver Film School, Kwantlan College, and downtown ELS schools.
Metro Town mall, the largest and most popular mall in Canada, is fifteen minutes away.
A couple minutes away from our home is convenient shopping example, 7/11, pizza, sushi bar, Chinese food, Starbucks, supermarkets (e.g. TNT, Walmart), banks, pharmacy. We are walking distance to the lovely Hume Park where you can exercise, walk, or enjoy fresh air.
