Homestay in 加拿大 － Burnaby
We are a fun- fit, friendly couple who love to meet students from across the globe and make them part of our family. We include students in all family activities and show them around . We love the out doors, working out, music and movies. Homestay mom caters on the side and works for an Italian Food Importer. She loves to cook many different ethnic dishes. 3 Meals a day (breakfast/lunch and dinner) are included in the rent: A good size breakfast, a healthy packed balanced lunch and a dinner with a protein, carbohydrate and vegetables (we prefer the student to Not To Be Vegetarian however we eat vegetables with dinner -t is easier we eat the same dinner as the homestay student) The mom has hosted students from many different countries for the past 13 years. Many return former students have returned to visit keep in touch. The homestay dad works in construction, loves to run/work out in the gym in spare time. We have one pure bread ragdoll cat which is hypo allergenic and our other is a tuxedo cat. The condo is fully furnished with modern appliances and a nice bright open-concept living room /dining and a galley kitchen and good size patio with a BBQ and garden. We have a large double-size shared washroom and a new wash-machine and dryer which is available to do 2 loads of laundry per week (clothing detergent also is included in rent). Bath linens and bed linens are included for use. A large flat screen tv is in the living room with PVR and we have a large entertainment bundle including movie channels, extra high speed internet.The building has a full gym, a large indoor heated swimming pool, jacuzzi, and a sauna in both the men's and ladies change room. Preference is giving to male (not vegetarian), No smoking in the unit or patio however designated areas outside of the building are ok (building policy) Our students must be friendly, responsible, tidy (keeps room clean, makes bed daily, practices good hygiene, , does own dishes when does not eat with us and must have proof of registration at a College/University. SFU/FIC Campus is 20 min from back exit of condo (5 min walk to Lougheed Skytrain, 2 min on train and 5 min on bus contrary to 40 min list on this website) Rent is $950 based on 4 weeks (28 days)and based in a minimum of a 3 month stay. 4 weeks notice is required on rent date to move out after the 3 month term. We prefer long term but 3 month stay is ok. Please do not hesitate to contact for more information.
